A Word Before You Begin This rulebook is prone to change as time goes on, but please use your common sense when it comes to conducting yourself, and remember: Vyxara is a hardcore serious roleplay.
Chapter I
Entering the Realm Immersion, language and the spirit of serious roleplay.
Welcome to Vyxara Vyxara is a hardcore serious-roleplay fantasy realm built around immersion, character-driven storytelling, social hierarchy, discovery, professions, Houses, species lore and the Royal Court.
1.1 When you enter Vyxara, treat the world as real and speak and act as the character who lives within it.
1.2 Mechanics exist to create roleplay, not replace it. A system allowing an action does not automatically make that action reasonable in RP. The story around a mechanic matters more than simply winning or completing it.
Protect the roleplay experience, even when your character loses.
Chapter II
The Language of Vyxara Courtly terminology for keeping the realm immersive.
2.1 Discord = Pages — “Look in the main pages.” / “Check the pages.”
2.2 Staff = Officials / Guardians — “I will send a petition to the Officials.”
2.3 AFK = In my thoughts / In my head — Use the AFK command whenever you step away. Using it to avoid RP, consequences, arrest, conflict or an active scene is punishable.
2.4 Ticket = Petition — “I will submit a petition to the Officials.”
2.5 Server Rules = Royal Decrees — “That is against the Royal Decrees.”
2.6 Crash / Disconnect = Fell from the realm — Return as soon as reasonably possible and continue the scene where it left off.
2.7 Server Restart = The realm is shifting — Use immersive wording when possible; do not derail an active scene over technical language.
2.8 Inventory / Menu = Belongings / satchel / ledger / registry — Use natural words when spoken aloud. The goal is immersion, not confusion.
Minor slips happen. Repeated or deliberate immersion-breaking is the issue.
Chapter III
Core Roleplay Standards The rules that govern everyday character interaction.
Serious RP & Anti-RP 3.1 Remain in character during active roleplay. Do not turn scenes into OOC conversations, mechanic talk, memes or modern gamer chatter.
3.2 Roleplay should be collaborative. You do not have to “win” every interaction for the scene to be successful.
Metagaming 3.3 Your character only knows what they reasonably learned in character.
3.4 Information from Pages, streams, clips, OOC chat, another character or another player cannot become IC knowledge.
3.5 Do not use map knowledge, names, titles or hidden information your character has never discovered.
Powergaming 3.6 Do not abuse bugs, animations, collision, scripts, emotes or mechanics to achieve an impossible or unfair result.
3.7 Do not declare outcomes for another character. Give them reasonable space to react.
Forced RP 3.8 Do not force another player into a predetermined storyline with no reasonable choices or reactions.
3.9 Persistent harassment, repeatedly manufacturing conflict, or using mechanics to trap someone in unwanted RP may be treated as forced RP.
OOC Disputes 3.10 Do not interrupt every active scene to argue rules.
3.11 Preserve evidence, finish or safely exit the scene when possible, then submit a Petition.
3.12 Do not retaliate in character because someone reported you out of character.
Flaming & Harassment 3.13 Hostility intended to inflame OOC disputes, humiliate players or restart closed staff matters is prohibited.
3.14 Disagreements belong in the proper channels, not public Pages or active scenes.
Conflict & Consequence Unjustified Killing / RDM 3.15 Killing must come from meaningful RP context.
3.16 Petty dislike, a minor accident, a small insult, OOC annoyance or a random encounter are not sufficient reasons for lethal escalation.
Vehicle Deathmatch 3.17 Do not use vehicles as weapons against players unless a server-approved mechanic or extraordinary RP circumstance clearly permits it.
Value of Life 3.18 Treat your character’s life as valuable.
3.19 Recklessly charging overwhelming threats, ignoring severe injuries or provoking execution-level danger without reason may be treated as failure to value life.
Combat Logging 3.20 Do not intentionally disconnect, use AFK, close the game or exploit a restart to escape consequences, arrest, injury, combat, capture or loss.
3.21 If you crash, return and resume the RP.
Revenge Killing 3.22 You may not use forgotten death/knockout information, OOC knowledge or another character to immediately retaliate for a scene you should not remember.
Chapter IV
Conflict, Death & Memory Consequences should create story, not shortcuts.
Memory, Injury & Permadeath Knockouts & Memory 4.1 If your character is fully knocked unconscious, they should not return with perfect memory of the immediate circumstances of their defeat unless a Vyxara mechanic, approved spell, relic, species effect or staff-approved lore situation explicitly allows it.
4.2 Do not use forgotten details to identify attackers, recover hidden information, or create immediate revenge.
4.3 Injuries should be roleplayed with reasonable continuity; do not instantly ignore major wounds because the health bar was restored.
Permanent Death (PD) 4.4 Permadeath is a serious story consequence, not a casual punishment button.
4.5 Player-requested PD, mutually agreed PD, staff-approved lore PD, or major approved faction/species/court consequences may occur according to Vyxara procedures.
4.6 Weak, petty or OOC-motivated reasons are not sufficient grounds to permanently remove another person’s character.
4.7 When approval is required, no permanent death is final until the appropriate Officials authorize it.
Death should create story and consequence — not erase someone casually.
Dark RP, Consent & Community Safety Never Permitted 4.8 Racism, homophobia, transphobia or targeted discriminatory abuse.
4.9 Rape, sexual assault or sexual coercion roleplay.
4.10 Obscene or explicit sexual roleplay.
4.11 Roleplay involving characters under 18.
4.13 OOC harassment disguised as “just RP.”
4.14 Using sensitive content primarily to shock, humiliate or distress another player.
Dark Fantasy Themes 4.15 Blood, combat, magical injury, horror, curses, executions, ritual scenes, monster RP and other darker fantasy themes may exist when they serve the story and are handled responsibly.
Player Boundaries 4.16 If someone clearly signals that a scene is crossing a real boundary, adjust or end that element of the scene.
4.17 Do not punish a player OOC for opting out of content that makes them genuinely uncomfortable.
4.18 Do not weaponize consent language to avoid ordinary IC consequences. Boundaries protect players; they are not an escape mechanic.
Voice & Communication 4.19 Use a microphone for active RP unless you have an accessibility reason to communicate through approved text commands.
4.20 Do not use outside voice programs to coordinate active scenes in ways your characters could not communicate.
Chapter V
Character & World Conduct Integrity across alts, safezones, jobs and crime.
World Conduct & Character Integrity Multiple Characters 5.1 Do not transfer money, items, property or information between your own characters.
5.2 Do not use one character to avenge, investigate, protect or materially benefit another.
5.3 Do not use alts to bypass title limits, leadership restrictions or consequences.
Character Names & Identity 5.4 Character names should fit the setting and cannot be deliberately offensive or disruptive.
5.5 Do not identify a disguised character because you recognize the player behind them.
Disguises & Recognition 5.6 A meaningful disguise should change obvious presentation: mask, clothing, hair or recognizable accessories where possible.
5.7 Voice recognition alone should not automatically defeat a proper disguise unless a specific Vyxara rule or mechanic says otherwise.
Exploits & Third-Party Tools 5.8 Cheats, hacks, malicious modifications, exploitative macros, duplication, bug abuse or any tool designed to gain unfair advantage may result in severe punishment.
5.9 Report exploitable bugs instead of profiting from them.
Safezones, Crime & Looting Safezones 5.10 No fighting, killing, hostile magic, kidnapping, executions or violent escalation in designated safezones unless an approved scenario overrides it.
5.11 Do not enter a safezone to escape an active hostile scene.
5.12 Do not camp the edge of a safezone to immediately ambush someone leaving it.
5.13 Official/Guardian events may temporarily become maximum safezones.
Theft & Looting 5.14 Do not random-loot someone simply because the mechanic allows it.
5.15 Do not strip a character of everything without meaningful RP justification.
5.16 Quest items, unique lore objects, relics and restricted magical items may have special theft rules that must be respected.
Robbery & Kidnapping 5.17 Kidnapping, robbery and coercive scenes must have RP purpose and reasonable escalation.
5.18 Do not repeatedly target the same person solely to farm items, humiliate them or deny them normal play.
5.19 Use proportionate demands and give the other side meaningful opportunity to respond.
Criminal RP 5.20 Criminal groups need meaningful IC reasons for major wars, executions or territory conflicts.
5.21 Do not plan IC criminal negotiations through Pages or outside communication.
5.22 Do not use legal-job resources to facilitate personal criminal activity unless a specifically approved corruption storyline allows it.
Duty, Jobs & Public-Facing Roles On Duty 5.23 Do not remain clocked in only to collect rewards while you are absent or not performing the role.
5.24 Job vehicles, uniforms, storage and restricted tools exist for that role and should not be abused for unrelated personal gain.
Public Service RP 5.25 When interacting with Guards, Arcane Vitalists, artisans or other service roles, give their RP reasonable space to function.
5.26 Likewise, job holders may not use their role to stonewall, harass or punish players for OOC reasons.
Streaming & Recording 5.27 Stream sniping and using a livestream to gain IC information are metagaming.
5.28 Streamers are responsible for not encouraging rule-breaking or OOC harassment through their broadcast or chat.
5.29 Recordings may be used as evidence when permitted by server policy.
In-Game Social Spaces 5.30 Do not import OOC feuds, private information or global social-media drama into Vyxara’s IC spaces.
5.31 Content posted through IC systems must still follow community safety rules.
Chapter VI
Titles, Houses & Authority Status creates responsibility, not OOC superiority.
The WL Title System The WL Title System represents a character’s recognized social role, occupation, rank or status in Vyxara.
6.1 Normal titles may be selected through Fellowship when available.
6.2 Important, restricted, prestigious or leadership titles are assigned through Discord WL roles.
6.3 An active Discord WL role overrides a manually selected Fellowship title.
Current WL Titles Queen King Prince Princess Duchess Duke Lady Lord Royal Royal Guard Maid Chef Priest Jester Gardener Librarian Janitor Butler Knight Tailor Guard Thief Prisoner Suggested Seat Limits King: 1 Queen: 1 Prince: 2–4 Princess: 2–4 Duke/Duchess: 4 total per House Lord/Lady: 6–10 per House Knights: 4–8 per House Priests: 2–4 per House Royal Guards: 8–12 total Jesters: 1–2 total Librarians: 2–4 total 6.4 Common titles such as Maid, Chef, Gardener, Butler, Tailor, Guard, Thief and Prisoner may remain unlimited.
6.5 Fellowship should display capacity for limited titles.
Example: “Duchess — 4/4 seats filled.”
Honor, Rank & Conduct Titles Are Not Permanent 6.6 Titles may be granted, inherited, appointed, earned, challenged, resigned from, suspended, revoked, stripped, lost through RP, reclaimed for inactivity, or removed for abuse or serious misconduct.
IC Rank Is Not OOC Rank 6.7 A Queen may outrank a Maid in character. The Queen’s player does not outrank the Maid’s player.
6.8 A title never makes one community member more important than another.
Leadership Seats Are Responsibilities 6.9 Restricted and prestigious roles exist to generate active RP.
6.10 Holding a seat while inactive, abandoning the role or consistently harming the RP environment may cause the title to be reopened.
Power, Court & Leadership Anti-Power-Tripping 6.11 Authority should create trials, negotiations, consequences, political tension, favors, rivalries, promotions, investigations and stories.
6.12 Do not use rank to shut down RP, humiliate players OOC, protect friends unfairly, retaliate over OOC disputes or force outcomes with no reasonable counterplay.
6.13 Characters may be cruel, arrogant, corrupt, villainous or tyrannical. The issue is whether the player uses those traits to create story or prevent others from participating.
Royal Court 6.14 The Royal Court is an IC institution, not the OOC staff hierarchy.
6.15 Court members may create decrees, appointments, trials, balls, petitions and political consequences within server rules.
6.16 Court authority cannot be used to settle OOC disputes or bypass Official oversight where approval is required.
Royal Guards & Guards 6.17 Use proportionate force, give players room to roleplay, and document major arrests or seizures when required.
6.18 Do not search, arrest or punish someone solely because of an OOC grudge.
6.19 Restricted equipment and government resources are for official duty unless an approved storyline says otherwise.
House & Species Leaders 6.20 Leadership should actively create RP, mentor members and keep limited seats moving.
6.21 Do not hoard positions, reward only OOC friends, invent unsupported lore, grant unsupported powers or use leadership to punish OOC disagreements.
6.22 Species leaders are custodians of official lore, not owners of every player belonging to that species.
Species, Hybrids & Lore 6.23 There is no mechanical hybrid roleplay in Vyxara.
6.24 Players may portray unusual lineage or mixed ancestry only when the concept is supported by Vyxara lore.
6.25 A hybrid backstory does not grant access to two species’ mechanics, abilities, transformations, immunities, strengths or weaknesses.
6.26 Your selected species determines your mechanical abilities and restrictions.
6.27 Hybrid RP cannot be used to invent powers, bypass weaknesses or claim access that is not mechanically supported.
6.28 Official species lore takes priority over personal headcanon.
6.29 Major lore exceptions require explicit approval through the proper Vyxara process.
“Lore determines the story.” Your selected species determines the mechanics.
Chapter VII
Petitions & Royal Enforcement How rule disputes are handled.
Petitions, Evidence & Reports Preserve the Scene 7.1 Do not turn an active scene into an OOC courtroom unless immediate intervention is necessary for safety.
7.2 Finish or safely exit the scene when possible.
Gather Evidence 7.3 Clips, screenshots, logs and complete recordings are stronger than partial retellings.
7.4 Do not edit evidence in a misleading way.
Submit a Petition 7.5 Use the proper Pages channel or petition system.
7.6 Explain what happened clearly, include relevant evidence and avoid public arguments.
Closed Matters Stay Closed 7.7 Do not repeatedly reopen resolved reports, flame the other party or use IC authority to retaliate over an OOC decision.
False Reports 7.8 Knowingly fabricated, malicious or retaliatory reports may themselves result in punishment.
Enforcement & Official Discretion Escalating Consequences Informal conversation / education Verbal warning Formal warning Temporary WL or title restriction Leadership or title removal Temporary suspension Character consequence where appropriate Permanent ban for severe or repeated violations Severity matters. Intent matters. History matters.
7.9 Serious offenses may skip lower steps.
Official Discretion 7.10 No written rule can cover every fantasy-RP scenario.
7.11 Officials may consider context, intent, pattern of behavior and effect on others.
7.12 Do not exploit technical loopholes or wording to justify behavior that clearly violates the spirit of the rules.
7.13 First minor terminology or immersion mistakes are generally handled through conversation; repeated disregard may escalate.
7.14 Restricted roles, WL titles and leadership seats may be removed when necessary to protect server health and active RP.
When in doubt: protect the RP experience.
The Final Decree Vyxara is a shared world.
Every title, spell, House, profession, rivalry, investigation, romance, battle and discovery becomes meaningful only because other players are willing to build the story with you.
Your goal should not always be to ask:
“How does my character win?”
Sometimes the better question is:
“What creates the most interesting story from here?”
By entering Vyxara, you agree to follow the Royal Decrees and their spirit.
